The review, rights and publication rules for material submitted to AEC Journal.
Last updated: 31 August 2026.
1. What may be submitted
Professionals, companies, researchers, academics and other contributors may submit original articles, case studies, research papers, technical papers, publications or supporting material for review.
2. Rights confirmation
The submitter confirms that they own the material or have sufficient permission to submit it, including any photographs, charts, drawings, data or third-party excerpts. Material must not knowingly infringe copyright, confidentiality, privacy or other rights.
3. Review process
Submission does not guarantee publication. AEC International may approve, reject or return material with editorial or technical remarks. A revised submission may be requested before approval.
4. Editorial changes
AEC International may edit accepted material for clarity, formatting, grammar, length, headings, metadata, translation presentation or platform consistency while preserving the contributor's intended meaning. Material changes may be returned to the contributor for approval where appropriate.
5. Publication license
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the contributor keeps ownership and grants AEC International a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, format, promote and archive the approved submission on AEC International channels. The contributor may request removal, subject to reasonable archival, legal or contractual requirements.
6. Attribution
AEC International will normally credit the contributor or source as approved during editorial review. The submitter is responsible for providing accurate author, organization and source information.
7. No payment unless agreed
Submission does not create a right to payment, royalties or compensation unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
8. Removal and correction
AEC International may correct, update, unpublish or remove material if accuracy, rights, safety, legal or editorial concerns arise.
