Privacy Policy
How AEC International handles enquiries, project files, contributor submissions, communications and website data.
Last updated: 31 August 2026.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information submitted through aecinternational.online and related AEC International service, app, journal, Knowledge Hub and custom-project interactions. AEC International may operate through different service providers or contracting arrangements depending on the requested work and customer location.
2. Information we may collect
We may collect contact and business details, country and professional role, enquiry and project information, uploaded files and cloud links, communications, quotation and transaction records, contributor or publication-submission information, and technical website data such as device, browser, referral source and analytics events.
3. Project files and confidential material
Files may include drawings, BIM/Revit/CAD data, spreadsheets, reports, photographs, scans, handwritten notes, point-cloud or survey data, code, documents and other materials supplied for review. We use them only as reasonably necessary to assess, quote, deliver or support the requested work, subject to applicable agreements and law.
4. Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries; review project scope; prepare quotations; deliver requested services or digital products; manage contributor submissions; communicate about active work; improve website performance; measure marketing and conversion activity; prevent abuse; protect our systems; and meet legal, accounting or contractual obligations.
5. Analytics and cookies
We may use privacy-conscious website analytics and conversion measurement, including Google Analytics 4 and advertising conversion tools when enabled. Where applicable, consent or preference controls will be used as required by local law. Analytics configuration will be reviewed before public launch.
6. Service providers and international processing
We may use hosting, email, analytics, cloud-storage, payment, file-transfer and other service providers. Information may therefore be processed in countries other than the user's country. We seek to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards where required.
7. Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including project delivery, follow-up, record keeping, dispute prevention, security and legal obligations. Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries and project files may be deleted or archived according to operational needs and applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should avoid uploading executable or malicious files and should use secure file-transfer links for unusually large or sensitive packages when requested.
9. User rights
Depending on location and applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. Requests can be sent to info@aecinternational.online. We may need to verify identity before acting on a request.
10. Children
AEC International is intended for professional, business and adult learning use and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without an appropriate lawful basis and authorization.
11. Third-party links and sources
The Journal and Knowledge Hub may reference third-party publications, research, standards, training bodies or external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its update date.
