Ownership and usage rules for AEC material, client work and third-party sources.

AEC International material
AEC International branding, original website text, original editorial analysis, software, interface elements, internally developed templates and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless stated otherwise.
Client materials
Clients retain rights they already own in files and information they submit. By submitting material, the client grants AEC International the limited permission reasonably necessary to review, process and perform the requested work.
Custom deliverables
Ownership or license rights in custom drawings, reports, models, software, templates or other deliverables are determined by the accepted quotation or project agreement. Pre-existing methods, libraries, code components and reusable know-how are not transferred unless expressly agreed.
Journal and research sources
Third-party journal articles, research, photographs, standards and publications remain the property of their respective rights holders. AEC International may provide original summaries, analysis and source links but does not claim ownership of the underlying third-party work.
User submissions
Contributors must own or have permission to submit their material. Publication by AEC International does not transfer ownership unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Contributors grant the publication rights described in the Contributor Submission Terms.
